Powerskating

Our CanPowerSkate sessions are open to experienced hockey players that are proficient skaters (passed their CanSkate Stage 3 or equivalent). It is geared towards players aged 5-8 and will focus on balance, control and agility. The session will be limited to 12 skaters to ensure a small group setting.

March – Tuesday CanPowerSkate (5:15-6:15pm) – Nicholas Sheran (5 Weeks)

April – Tuesday Freestyle (5:15-6:00pm) – Civic (3 Weeks)
45 Minutes on Ice

Southern Alberta Skating Academy is trying something new for April – Freestyle. What is Freestyle? It’s our StarSkate program adapted for hockey skates! It’s a perfect program for those interested in improving their agility by learning 360’s, carving, hydroblading and other cool tricks. Join coach Travis on this fun session and improve your balance, control and overall skating skills. This session is perfect for hockey players or those just wanting to hone their skating for fun. Suggested protective equipment consists of elbow and knee pads. Helmets are mandatory. Please wear regular gloves, not hockey gloves.

Skaters will need to email southernalbertaskating@gmail.com prior to registering as you must have passed Stage 4 CanSkate to participate.
